Damn U Cheese!


There are some things you quickly learn or realize as you start your weight loss journey. One of them is that cheese is the enemy. That's a bit problematic for me, because I have a love affair with cheese. I could eat it all day long, put it on anything. Seriously, what food does cheese not make better? Cheese and fruit? Good. Cheese and chocolate? Good. Cheese and Italian/Mexican/American food? Yum. Okay, so maybe not on Chinese food or Indian food.

I had a sub at lunch today from Firehouse. Real good subs. The medium "engineer" sub is 8 POINTS (the WeightWatchers currency for food units). The cheese that goes on that sub? Amazingly, 5.5 POINTS. Two stupid slices of cheese makes up 40% of the food currency for that whole sandwich! I am not amused. Can I lose weight and still eat cheese? I guess, but it will anger me in the process.
