The Big Weigh-In: Week 3

So as BS indicated earlier this week, I have been on business travel all week. Sticking to the plan is a monumental challenge when you are in a different city eating out for all your meals with other co-workers. You want to find a good place to eat and make good choices, but at the same time you don't want to just eat side salads and fat-free dressings.

I guess all things considering, I made some decent choices, as my weight loss amounted to 0.8 lbs. That's better than gaining, I suppose. I ate at a Mediterranean restaurant and had some flatbread pizza thing (low cheese) and some lamb skewers. I also had some grilled rockfish one night and some turkey and roast beef sandwiches for lunch. I consider it a success to have lost any weight at all considering my points calculations were almost impossible. I mean, what's the point value for a bowl of hungarian soup?? How about a third of plate of grilled calamari?

Part of the deal with all-day meetings is they like to feed you. Muffins, cookies, etc. I am proud to say that I completely resisted, not having a single bite of any dessert, muffin, cookie all week. I ate more fruit than usual for breakfast, but I did skip breakfast 2 days, which is not really optimal. At least the cafeteria at the office lists the nutritional information for their items. Part of our company's healthy worker initiative. My choices might not have been ideal, but they were a hell of a lot better than what I would have eaten in the past... Oh, I'll just have a salad, with blue cheese dressing, and because I'm good I'll have that chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Muffins? Hells yeah! Mid-afternoon cookies? Sure! Need to keep my energy up after all.

Starting Weight: 232.0 lbs.
Current Weight: 218.4lbs.
WLTD: 13.6 lbs.
Total Plan Days: 25
